I have chosen this subject as am in Gujarat, India visiting my mum who was taken seriously ill and have therefore witnessed a lot of Struggle since my arrival here.In fact, as had to go straight from the airport to the hospital on arrival and stayed there for a week, all I saw was Struggle of some sort or other, in there. Then being at home with my mum struggling to regain her health plus seeing the local people struggling out there with the heat and their poverty,it is more or less all that I have been part of this trip so far. I myself have been struggling with an infected insect bite on my leg…much better now, thankfully, both mum and I.
As I believe, we create what we think, I had to reflect why I got infected. Simply said, I got immersed into the Struggle mentality all around me and being exhausted after a 3 day trip to get here from Spain via Africa;(European airports were all closed due to the Ash), I did not have the strength and resolve to stay outside that Struggle norm and consequently became part of it. Thankfully, being able to rest fully, as my mum´s staff looked after me wonderfully, have emerged feeling stronger and positive again. A lot of inner healing and reflection has taken place allowing me to detach from all around me again and bring me back to my inner place of calm and contentment.
The Struggle Norm! India, generally seems to be totally accepting of Struggle and Hardship as the norm. Yes, there are a small percentage that do not, and therefore live well, but the majority seem not to, a lot of them especially in this region, due to their relegious beliefs, including the Karma concept which goes hand in hand with the Reincarnation concept. They feel that their actions of their past lives has created their present life. So rather than go against the flow, best just to accept and go with it, doing what they can…so a lack of basics like water, electricity, sanitation etc etc is just accepted and very few try and better this. Instead they immerse them selves in relegious rituals, praying for betterment rather than actively trying to make the changes they need. The Education system professes betterment, but so far,it is only on the academic level, rather than on a Holistic basis.
I begin to understand why certain countries have moved forward and others haven´t now. The flip side to the coin is Greed and that also seems to end in Struggle as we are seeing with the Global Recession. It is time we stopped Thinking Struggle and started Thinking Abundance world-wide. We all can have what we need and more. Happiness and Good living is meant for all of us! Let us Think It and Live it! Is the human race ready for this yet? Of course, if each one who understands this concept, shares it with another, then the world will change eventually….
