A New Beginning

Yes, here we are at the beginning of a New Year. Year 2009! I love the start of a New Year, as it is a golden opportunity, for us all, to have a fresh start and re-evaluate our lives. Of course, it is wise to have closure on everything that needs closure, by the end of the previous year, then we can really focus on A New Beginning during the month of January.

Anything outstanding must be finished with, before the new process can begin. As life is a constant movement, and changes are taking place all the time, this is a precious time and worth stopping and really introspecting it all, in minute detail.

The way I divide the Self and therefore life , is on the concept of Mind, Body and Spirit and everything is covered under this definition for me. The mind takes care of everything that needs planning, calculating and sorting, whether it be for that hour, day, week, month or year.

Anything that needs thinking about, is taken care of by the mind and various practises like mediatation, yoga and visualization can acheive control over our thinking, on the major part. Nothing is perfect, of course, so room for error must be given.

The Body expresses itself very clearly by its weight and general health and I am no exception to making those New year Resolutions according to where I am with my weight and how I’m feeling, at the start of the year. The field of Holistic therapy works on the body through the emotional channel with psychotherapy and methods like the Louise Hay methods and does not use alopathy.

Massage, physiotherapy, osteopathy, acupuncture and natural medicine can accompany this process in getting our body back to optimal health alongside giving up all unhealthy habits we may have formed over the years.

The Spirit is my guiding force and in my humble opinion, and prayer and meditation are very important on a daily basis and one does not need to be religious; a faith in a Higher Power or Energy that wants good for all seems to suffice.

Having worked on myself and many, many clients this way for years, this is a short and simple introduction of a way to ensure a happy and healthy life for all and this is definetely a good time to start….

Good Wishes,
Raksha Kumari
